Valley Outdoor LLC is a full-service landscape design/build and lawn care company in Bettendorf, Iowa, started in 2011 by Austin Blunk, who studied landscape design at Iowa State University. It has grown from a few lawn accounts into a crew that designs, builds and maintains yards across the Quad Cities.

Our story

Started with a few lawns. Still owner‑run.

Austin was a young entrepreneur and aspiring landscape designer when he started Valley Outdoor in 2011. He studied landscape design at Iowa State University, picking up the skills that now go into every patio, wall and planting plan. He is a proud Bettendorf resident.

The company began with just a few smaller lawn accounts and grew into a full-service operation for a wide mix of customers. Through all of it, doing quality work and delivering on time has stayed at the top of the list. Austin takes that seriously.

2011Austin starts Valley Outdoor in Bettendorf with a handful of lawn accounts.
2017Valley Outdoor acquires Kirby Lawn Care of LeClaire, growing into lawn maintenance and landscaping up the river.
2023Casey Mohr Mowing of Bettendorf joins, with a smooth handoff for its customers.
2025Reeds Lawn Service joins Valley Outdoor.
